In House Corporate Commercial Lawyer

THE ROLE

A corporate commercial lawyer is now sought to join the company's small and collegial legal team.

The role reports to the Director of Corporate and Commercial with whom you will handle all legal aspects of the business, with specific input on major projects and strategic ventures, while contentious work is managed by other members of the team.

The role is likely to include reviewing, drafting and amending a wide range of contracts to include ad-hoc agreements, engagement letters as well as NDAs.

The role will also require support on corporate M&A transactions and general commercial matters, supporting the internal marketing team with affiliate agreements and agency and licensing agreements and the provision of legal and regulatory support to the business on various and upcoming financial services regulations

You will also liaise regularly with other lawyers in the different jurisdictions in which the business operates.

ABOUT YOU

With 2-4pqe, your experience will comprise corporate or commercial work or the equivalent within a financial services organisation or law firm.

Experience in both corporate (M&A) and/or commercial (negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts) is ideal for this role

Financial services, regulatory and IP/IT experience is desirable but not essential.

While the ability to speak French would be useful it is not essential.
