Our client is a public multinational organisation who is looking to appoint a skilled, enthusiastic and supportive team member. Conveniently located in the South West of London in the location of Bracknell, this is an opportunity for an experienced In-House Solicitor. You will report to the Head of Legal.
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3 years post admission experience with a sound understanding of all aspects of a variety of commercial and contract law and an ability to apply that knowledge pragmatically in a business environment. You will also have experience working within and leading a team with the ability to navigate and advise on complex legal issues across the business with a delivery focus.
You will be a Solicitor seeking to move in-house or alternatively already have relevant in-house experience (a combination of private practice and in-house is highly desirable but not essential). Experience across a broad base of Pan-European and UK related commercial and contract matters is essential and knowledge across data protection, compliance, e-commerce, consumer, marketing, advertising and IT law would be desirable.

An example of some of the work you will be involved in is as follows:
- Drafting, negotiating and advising on all types of commercial contracts across the EU including Agreements regarding supply of goods/services, confidentiality, marketing, agency, consultancy, sponsorship, outsourcing, franchising, logistics, sporting etc.
- Compliance matters, including anti-bribery, competition, data protection and modern slavery;
- Data protection and IT law;
- Consumer law and e-commerce; and
- Marketing and advertising law.
You must enjoy working in a fast paced environment and be able to work to deadlines whilst at times under pressure. This position will also ideally suit someone who has the capability to be across broad in-house commercial legal issues, ask the right questions when needed but also be resourceful, offering excellent communication skills and an ability to build relationships with internal and external parties. You will also be a strong mentor and be willing to mentor and supervise junior legal counsel.
