Litigation lawyer/ barrister 7+ years’ PQE/ Call CAYMAN ISLANDS

Offshore commercial law firm is seeking to recruit a Litigation lawyer or barrister of seven years’ or more PQE/ Call. The team covers a broad range of Litigation matters and must be able to assume responsibility for the conduct of litigation in any of the following areas: major Commercial Litigation and, in particular, litigation involving cross-border issues, insolvency, asset tracing, and complex financial disputes, and must demonstrate a consistent ability and willingness to market and engage in business development initiatives or; Civil Litigation, and, in particular, debt collection, personal injury, employment, construction litigation.

Strong advocacy experience is also required, so if you are a qualified solicitor, you must have experience of advocating in court. The post-holder must also demonstrate the ability to maintain existing client relationships and continue to build on current relationships that attract future work and client referral. You will be able to handle a large caseload with minimal supervision and will also be responsible for managing other persons working with them on their files, which will include the mentoring and training of junior associates and articled clerks. You will currently be an England & Wales or Commonwealth-qualified lawyer/ barrister.
