The Firm
This Legal 500, Lexcel-accredited, multi-service law firm with a substantial presence across east London and Essex is currently recruiting for a Law Costs Draftsperson to join the in-house team. This role is located at the Barking office, in close proximity to the Underground and train station. The Role
The firm deals with a wide range of legal disciplines and you should have experience in dealing with costs including for Legal Aid work, clinical negligence claims and general civil matters. You will be preparing Bills of Costs and Costs Budgets as well as having experience in dealing with Points of Dispute and Points of Reply. A good knowledge of using CCMS is expected.
The Candidate
You should have at least 5 years’ experience in costs work and recent experience in Legal Aid costs. The firm would be very interested in hearing from a candidate who has strong advocacy experience (although this is not a prerequisite). You will be looking for a role that offers an interesting variety of work and opportunities for career progression.
