Experienced solicitor or legal executive to join dynamic firm specialising in public law
The Firm
This award-winning local firm in the Maidstone area is particularly known for its specialist work in public-sector matters, taking instruction from local authorities and community organisations. The firm is currently embarking on a period of expansion and is looking for a 3-7 years' PQE lawyer to join the contracts team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding firm with excellent prospects for the future.
The Role
Dealing with a diverse caseload of commercial contract work, you will have strong experience in all matters relating to procurement and construction, ideally gained within a public sector/local authority background. Experienced in risk management, liability and indemnity provisions and framework agreements and confident in drafting complex contracts, you should have a demonstrably strong, robust approach to negotiation and possess first-class client care skills.
The Candidate
Our client welcomes applications from legal executives or solicitor with experience in commercial contract, procurement and construction matters, ideally gained within a heavyweight regional or city firm. With 3-7 years’ experience, you should be an excellent team player and be committed to growing with the firm.
Experience required in dealing with complex public law cases; the ability to work to deadlines and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; a good understanding of policy issues with excellent research skills, and able to advise clients on the same
