Experienced Housing Disrepair Paralegal sought for growing team in successful Manchester based firm

Your new company
A successful multi-service law firm in Manchester that has a growing Housing team

Your new role
As a Housing Disrepair Paralegal you will handle a predominately non-litigated caseload of Housing Disrepair claims in a high-quality and commercially effective manner, working to agreed targets. You will perform fee earning tasks, maintaining the case file effectively on the case management system, and delivering excellent standards of client care. You will also support the Senior Claim Advisors by carrying out tasks outside of the day to day fee earning responsibilities, to support the team in areas such as training, generating repeat instructions from clients, and drafting online content. You will effectively communicate with other colleagues within the business, and ensure that you are accurately updating records and systems so that there is clear information on each case, enabling colleagues to understand the present position and action if required. Work may come through from other teams, and vice versa, so timely and accurate communication skills are essential.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Paralegal with at least 6 months' experience in Housing Disrepair, and have a degree or relevant qualification such as ILEX. You should also have a good working knowledge of case management systems. You will be well organised and able to meet deadlines, and have demonstrable experience in handling a volume caseload of legal claims. Experience in other areas of law alongside housing will be beneficial, but it is essential that you have previous experience in Housing Disrepair claims. You will be a strong negotiator and have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong eye for detail, the ability to problem solve and self-motivate.

What you'll get in return
A competitive salary dependent on experience, circa 15-19k. There may be some slight flexibility for candidates with significant experience in this sector.
