Why not work in the Caribbean?
I have several law firm clients in the Cayman Islands who are looking for qualified lawyers who currently have at least 2 years' post-qualification experience in England & Wales, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand or Canada.
Primary areas for hiring at Corporate M&A, Banking & Finance, Funds and Commercial/Insolvency Litigation, although there are opportunities from time to time in Real Estate and Trusts/Private Client as well. There is a particular demand for Commercial Litigators at the moment, ideally with contentious insolvency experience as well (but that's not a hard and fast requirement).
Firms generally look for candidates with good academics, who are entrepreneurial and who have a steady career-history at a well-known law firm in the UK, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. No prior Offshore experience is necessary.
On offer is world-class cross-border work with highly-accomplished colleagues, an exceptional tax-free salary, a fantastic work/life balance and the opportunity to live life in the Caribbean.
I have spent over three years living and working in the Caribbean as a lawyer prior to moving into recruitment, and I would be happy to talk about the opportunities that are on offer, so please get in touch for a confidential and informative chat.
