The firm covers a range of practice areas across both individual and commercial sectors and is renowned for delivering a high level of client care. With a network of offices spread nationwide, the firm is now looking to hire a Compliance and Interventions Lawyer for its Bournemouth office, which is located near a variety of local amenities and good transport links.

The Role
This is an opportune time to join a leading firm as a Lawyer within its Compliance and Interventions department which acts for the Solicitors Regulation Authority by providing advice regarding its intervention into law firms. Your duties will be varied and will include: providing advice and assistance following a decision to intervene; managing your own caseload of applications to the SRA Compensation Fund; assisting the department with internal client complaints. It would be advantageous to possess a legal background in contentious matters, but full training will be given on the SRA interventions and the SRA Compensation Fund. This position is offered on a full-time basis, however, part-time applications will also be considered.

The Candidate
Applications are encouraged from Solicitors with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE and Chartered Legal Executives with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE.
A legal background in contentious matters would be advantageous.
It is essential to possess solid knowledge of the Solicitors Code of Conduct 2011.
Your drafting skills will be excellent.
The successful Compliance and Interventions Lawyer will have exceptional attention to detail.
Ideally, problem-solving will be a key strength.
IT proficiency is a requirement of the role.
