Your new role
A litigation lawyer position reporting to the Head of Legal in the organisation's fantastic London offices. Covering the EMEA region, you will support the business in its construction claims, seeing matters through from initial analysis to courtroom advocacy when necessary. You will use your excellent knowledge of construction contracts (including FIDIC and NEC) to advise different areas of the business. You will simultaneously support the management of external lawyers, advise on risk management and compliance matters, while identifying commercial and delivery risks within active and prospective projects.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a UK-qualified lawyer with excellent disputes experience within the construction and engineering sector, either within a reputable firm on in-house legal function. You will be able to balance a sizeable caseload with advising the business on key risk, delivery and disputes, while helping to create a culture of dispute prevention. You will possess exceptional interpersonal skills and personal credibility, able to influence stakeholders, working to tight deadlines. You will possess excellent knowledge of construction contracts including JCT, NEC and FIDIC and demonstrable experience in managing proceedings from end to end.
