A fantastic boutique US Law Firm is looking to hire a new Business Development Manager to be responsible for implementing the business development goals ad strategies of the London office. Responsibilities will include assisting with the development and implementation of the practice group’s action plans, alert the practice groups of market, client and competitor trends, identify target markets and new business opportunities, evaluate and coordinate speaking and writing opportunities, conferences, seminars and sponsorship opportunities, responsible for the creating, tailoring and production of practice specific research and responses to client proposals.  Other duties will include working closely with the Office Managing Partner to assist in the development and implementation of local practice group’s business and action plans by coordinating and tracking the group’s efforts to ensure deadlines are met and commitments are kept, develop strategic plans to further our relationships with clients that represent significant potential for cross-office and cross-practice growth, identify, assess and coordinate conferences, seminars, forums, sponsorships, and speaking and writing opportunities to ensure they are aligned with the goals of the firm, office and practices, coordinate and implement internal and external events and seminars with support from the Business Development and Communications teams, oversee and facilitate communication among and between the local practices to promote the firm’s international offering internally, track and maintain office and practice group experience for proposals, directory submissions, provide assigned practice groups with regular updates regarding new business opportunities, market trends and competitive threats, identify opportunities to offer new services or enhance existing services in order to attract high-value work and enhance value provided to clients, coordinate meetings with reporters and arrange commentary in leading publications, draft, edit, and issue press releases relating to deals, facilitate internal communication about successes and opportunities within and among the practice group, utilising communication vehicles such as briefings and press clips.  Candidates must have minimum of 3 years BD Management experience within a Law Firm, within either a Litigation or Commercial team as well as excellent written, oral and communications skills.
