Are you an accomplished commercial lawyer with significant local government experience? Are you working in practice or Local Government and welcome the opportunity to join a highly regarded progressive firm. If this sounds like you then please read on.

In this rewarding role you will deliver comprehensive solutions to both new and existing local government clients. Moreover, you will be pivotal in the support and development of colleagues.

You will ideally have the following skills and experience:

• Strong relationship building skills combined with the desire to help develop the firms Local Government offering
• The ability to provide high level strategic support and advice to councils and other public bodies working with local government
• A sound understanding of relevant law including local government constitutions and decision making, councilors' conduct, regulatory compliance and commercial law
• A good knowledge of public law principles including judicial review
• The confidence to advise upon joint ventures, alternative delivery models and local authority trading companies
• Act as a principal point of contact for a number of key clients and/or new business intermediaries
• Previous responsibility supervising fee earning staff including developing the legal/business skills of others.
