Corporate Affairs Lawyer with top international law firm in London


Your new company
This market leading international specialist law firm has practices across the UK and Europe, Asia Pacific, the Americas and the Middle East. The firm's lawyers provide a range of legal services for many industries including: insurance and reinsurance, dispute resolution and litigation, aviation, construction, healthcare, maritime and international trade, public sector, retail, transport and logistics and travel. The firm's expertise in health and safety and liability practice is well renowned and held in high esteem amongst the legal community.

Your new role
You will be supporting this firm in providing thought leadership and public affairs initiatives to the firm's client base. You will be responsible for examining the impact of legal and political changes on the international insurance market and offer a response strategy to clients and stakeholders in the business community. You will deliver these solutions with advice, media campaigns, know how intelligence and connectivity. You will be responsible for conducting extensive research and authoring content for a variety of publications and media. You will be working closely with the firm's Partners, Fee-Earners and Business Services teams. This role would perhaps suit a Professional Skills Lawyer looking for an exciting new challenge.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need strong academics (2 or higher degree) or equivalent. The firm are seeking a qualified Corporate Affairs Lawyer with strong experience of the legal and insurance industries and excellent understanding of client markets, regulatory environments and business objectives within such industries.

You will need to be proactive and take initiative, with strong communication skills both verbal and written, be able to manage your own time, demonstrate excellent organisation skills and display an aptitude for building effective working and client relationships at all levels of seniority. You should be confident in your own abilities and in your approach, a solid team player, able to work in a pressurised environment and manage priorities. Previous industry research expertise is essential, as are excellent drafting skills, an ability to write for legal as well as non-legal audiences, and strong IT skills including graphic design and delivering PowerPoint presentations.
