Based in the Sheffield area and reporting into the senior legal Counsel you will be responsible for providing broad based legal support to UK operations and projects.

Description

Our client is looking to recruit a junior/ mid/ senior level solicitor to act as their in house Commercial solicitor. Some of the work will include the below. Our client does not expect candidates to have undertaken all areas of work outlined below but you will need to have a background as a Commercial , Projects or Construction/ Litigation solicitor.

• Drafting/negotiating sale/purchase contracts for large scale projects
• Some M&A
• Providing cross sector support to international legal colleagues on English legal topics.
• Drafting/negotiating commercial agreements (e. NDA's, JV's, procurement, licenses; R&D and co-operation agreements)
• Advising business on the appropriate risk stance on projects
• Working with others to ensure efficient structuring of projects/contracts
• Legal & Compliance advice and training
• Ad-hoc advice on e. M&A, competition and corporate governance matters
• Supporting on claims/disputes, H&S and on liability issues.

Profile

The candidate for this In House Solicitor role can come from a private practice or in house background need to have experience as a Commercial solicitor and if you have international contract experience and if you can speak any other languages these are desirable.
