Employment Partner – An exciting role has arisen for an employment solicitor at partnership level to drive the Manchester employment team of this top 50 national practice. Candidates should demonstrate a strong background preferably from a mid or top tier firm. A following would be a clear advantage.

- Previous Experience: Ideally a mid-tier or top tier background, but this is by no means essential. Experience in contentious and non-contentious work. Our client is a corporate commercial firm, so experience of working in a similar background with SME clients as well as larger national and multinational corporates would be a distinct advantage.
OUR CLIENT
Our client has a national presence and client base but is currently focusing on growing and driving their employment offering in Manchester. It is a firmly established mid-tier firm with full corporate and commercial services. The client base ranges from owner-managed businesses and SMEs to large national corporates and a number of publically listed businesses.
It has grown steadily over the last few years, but manages development carefully preferring organic growth to aggressive merger. It is a solid brand within the legal services sector. Its growth strategy for Manchester has been steady and consistent to date, establishing a strong corporate / commercial offering.
EMPLOYMENT
Attention has now been turned to the employment team and the firm is looking to develop a strong contentious and non-contentious offering in Manchester city centre. As the firm is corporate-led, they are looking for a Partner who has operated in a similar environment. Whilst the employment team is a department in its own right, there is a strong relationship with the corporate department.
KEY QUALITIES
Technical proficiency, the ability to business develop and entrepreneurial skill are to be taken as read. Equally important is the ability to fit in with the character and ethos of the firm.
