An excellent opportunity has arisen with a top investment bank for a Structured Finance / CMBS Execution Lawyer.

The role sits within the Deleveraging and Lending Group which focusses on commercial real estate lending and warehouse lending for performing and non-performing loan pools. The division is recognised for providing traditional and innovative financing techniques to assist clients throughout Europe to execute their business strategy.

They are seeking a talented Execution Lawyer with CMBS / public markets debt experience to work on the securitisation / syndication of lending transactions as well as assisting in the execution of structured finance lending transactions.  This role will have a particular focus on public market exits for transactions and will include working with originators and securitisation/syndication teams to help structure public market transactions. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Main responsibilities centre on working with the securitisation / syndication teams to facilitate public market exits for transactions, including:
  • Preparing and reviewing term sheets
  • Advising on structure of transactions to optimise public market exits taking into account legal, regulatory, tax and other constraints
  • Liaising with outside counsel to prepare transaction documentation
  • Liaising with rating agencies in respect of potential transactions
  • Assisting in the execution of structured finance lending transactions including structuring, preparation of terms sheets and drafting and negotiation of facility documents.

This Structured Finance / CMBS Execution Lawyer role is initially a contract role for 12 months, but as the team is busy and growing, there is a strong possibility the role will become permanent.
