About the Fund lawyer role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate or funds lawyer to join an independent global asset management firm in the West End focussing on investments in the global financial sector. The role will involve you working directly with the General Counsel in a small team with very close interaction with the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the launch of new funds and ongoing corporate governance and marketing;
- Advising on various corporate matters including internal reorganisations and private investments;
- Negotiation of contracts in relation to funds and wider business matters;
- Providing legal support and analysis of key legal risks for the business;
- Working with and instructing external legal counsel.
Your Key Skills:
You will have 1-4 years of post qualified experience with general corporate matters and/or regulated funds (however a different level of experience will be considered if you meet the requisite skills) obtained from either private practice or in-house.
You must be comfortable taking responsibility from projects and acting as the point of contact for the business. A pro-active attitude is essential and an ability to deal with a wide and varied caseload across corporate, funds and general commercial work.
