My client are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual to join our Tax and Estate Planning team.

The successful candidate will be able to do the following:

·         Accept work from clients and from other members of the department (subject to the approval of the Head of Department); 

·         Handle own caseload and work with other members of the team – depending upon complexity and size of matter;

·         Ensure highest level of client care;

·         Carry out such marketing and business development activity as is appropriate or requested by the Head of Department;

·         Client care by report to HOD;

·         Record chargeable time in excess of the allocated target;

·         Generate new work;

·         Bill clients to a level agreed with Head of Department;

·         Practical knowledge in relevant areas of law;

·         Experience of working in team environment;

·         Good IT skills.

Job Purpose           

·         Advise clients on inheritance tax and other relevant tax issues (within knowledge and experience), and prepare Wills, trusts and other documents required to implement that advice.

·         Advise clients on Lasting Powers of Attorney and Deputyship, and prepare such documents as are required to meet their needs and instructions.

·         Advise on existing Wills and will trusts and the administration of them, as appropriate.

·         Take existing files from other members of the department and take responsibility for new instructions of appropriate complexity (increasing as time passes and expertise increases) as allocated.
