6 month FTC: Intellectual Property Paralegal at US Law Firm to £30,000

US Law firm based in London is looking to hire a new Intellectual Property Paralegal on an initial 6 month contract  to conduct clerical and background research work; prepare documentation in order to meet client IP requirements;  and undertake all IP Formalities requirements.  Responsibilities will include being a primary resource for formalities and filing requirements in primary European jurisdictions, the preparation and filing of Trademark Applications, drafting corresponding reporting developments of the applications including: filing, acceptance, publication and registration, updating IPPO to ensure records maintain accuracy, produce client portfolio review, the need to be knowledgeable about the prosecution of trade mark and design applications in European jurisdictions, attend to general enquiries on costs and processes, update large client trademark portfolios, audit large client trademark portfolios, prepare of initial drafts of complex quotes for Trademark / Design filing / assignment programmes, check Aderant and closing files, provide Status reports for large clients, prepare of initial draft responses to specific objections and assignments changes of name and changes of address – Projects and Ad hoc.  Applicants need to have strong commercial awareness, offer a firm-wide collegiality, sound judgement and decision making, plus have relevant Intellectual Property/Trademark department experience essential, working knowledge of MS Office packages essential, ITMA Administrators course an advantage, Legal billing experience desirable and any previous knowledge of IPPO WebTMS database desirable.
