LOCATION: Cross Centre (Liverpool, Manchester and Preston)
SALARY: £25,000 - £50,000
EMPLOYMENT: Permanent
HOURS: 9:00 - 5:30

Our client is a Top 100 Commercial Law Firm with a 200 year heritage based in the North West with offices in Liverpool, Manchester and Preston. They are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to manage the firm's business development activities around key service lines based in their head office in Liverpool.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the firm's overall strategic business objectives and growth. The Business Development Manager will develop and embed best practice business development programmes, campaigns, processes and activities via a multi-channel approach and includes new business and client development activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Planning and implementing the firm's business development strategy and plans, working directly with Heads of Department and practice groups
 Acting as a business partner to Heads of Department and fee earners to deliver agreed plans to pursue business development opportunities across new and existing clients
 Development and management of firm-wide business development and sales programmes, including departmental BD plans, cross-service product propositions, lead generation, key target management and telemarketing programmes using an external supplier
 Proactively identify opportunities to maximise return on investment and incremental revenues with existing clients through client development and cross-selling programmes and with potential new clients through new business development programmes
 Use client and market insight to understand buyer behaviours, needs, preferences and sales triggers
 Collaborate with other members of the Central Marketing and Business Development team to ensure the success of business development programmes, campaigns and initiatives
 Utilise relevant elements of the marketing and communications mix to design effective sales campaigns, communicate with target audiences and support business development activities and initiatives
 Identify and progress new business development opportunities, either directly or indirectly through recognised intermediaries, influencers and external stakeholders
 Work closely with members for the firm's Management Board, Heads of Department and key partners and fee earners to support the achievement of Brabners' strategic business goals and priorities
 Coach partners and provide staff training on business development; new business targeting, bid management and client management
 Develop the skills, behaviours and competencies of direct reports, ensuring personal development plans and ongoing career development conversations
 Ensure all business development activities are accurately recorded on the firm's CRM
system, to enable data quality and accurate pipeline and client reporting

 Management of sales processes, drive sales pipeline and conversion of key opportunities, budget management, measurement of KPIs, preparation of dashboard reports and evaluating results to enhance performance
 Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment, target audiences, business trends and opportunities and take action to purse and convert new business opportunities
