Legal Counsel

Our client, an entrepreneurial asset manager, is seeking a junior lawyer to join their growing legal function in the City of London.

They are seeking a junior lawyer who is keen to develop their career within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The successful applicant will be either a newly qualified lawyer or a junior funds/corporate lawyer. They will have had a broad training contract and that would have equipped them with sufficient generalist experience to advise on a variety of different matters as required by the business. Such as;

• reviewing and negotiating third party contracts, investment management agreements, distribution agreements and related documents;
• Development of precedent documents and templates;
• Establishing, amending and termination of funds
• 'Business as usual' legal queries as required by the business including commercial contract, employment issues or ad hoc litigation

An active interest in the asset management sector is an advantage.

The successful candidate will have trained at a top City law firm and be qualified to work in the UK. The candidate will be either newly qualified or have up to two years' post-qualification experience.
