I am currently working with a global financial services organisation who are seeking a Regulatory Legal Counsel to join their growing legal team in London focusing on providing Legal support to the rest of the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior lawyer who is keen to build upon their existing experience whilst taking the next step in their own career.

The responsibilities of this role will include, but not be limited to;

  • Assisting the general counsel on all issues of regulatory law, interpretation and implementation (MiFID II, MAR, EMIR etc) as well as assisting any of the groups subsidiaries.
  • Researching Legal issues and keeping abreast of any regulatory developments including statutory enactments.
  • Working alongside the compliance department on any Ad Hoc matters as and when requested.
  • Working alongside external counsel and manage them where appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have/be;

  • A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' PQE.
  • Trained at, and gained post qualification experience from a Magic/Silver circle law firm or US equivalent.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks at any one time with the ability to prioritise accordingly
