We are recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded law firm based in Mansfield for an experienced Wills and Probate Solicitor or Legal Executive. The firm's private client department provides services including wills, probate, tax, trusts, estate planning and property advice for individuals.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a high quality legal service to clients on all aspects of wills, trusts, tax planning, Enduring Powers and Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection and Probate law including:
*Will drafting
*Probate and administration of estates
*Lifetime tax planning and trust drafting
*Advising in relation to Enduring Powers and Lasting Powers of Attorney
*Court of Protection
Develop own technical knowledge and skills including the ability to:
*analyse information and reach sound decisions
*understand and adhere to instructions
*communicate succinctly both orally and in writing
*research appropriate case law and technical and legal precedents to progress matters
*Remain up to date professionally and technically by attaining and recording competence, as well as developing knowledge of the market place and client base
Meet the firms quality standards including:
*ensuring personal time recording and billing targets are achieved
*ensuring that all chargeable work is properly recorded on client matters
*adhering to the SRA's client care directive and to the firm's own policies as set out in the Office Manual
*maintaining good file management as set out in the Office Manual
*understanding the obligations relating to client accounts and ensure preparation and delivery of bills in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
