Locum Planning Solicitor

Venn Group's specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Planning Solicitor to join a Local Authority legal team in East Anglia. The assignment is ideally to start ASAP, for duration of 3 months, with a strong possibility of extension. The organisation is also able to offer up to 2 days home working.

The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of Planning Law and will have managed their own caseload of matters in a Local Government environment.

The day-to-day duties will include:

• Providing advice on a wide range of Planning matters
• Advising and representing clients in negotiations and discussions
• Drafting and negotiating section 106 agreements
• Offering ad-hoc Planning advice where required to clients and colleagues
• Attending Planning inquiries and Planning Committees

The position offers an hourly rate of up to £40 per hour and is offered on a full-time basis. Part-time applicants will also be considered and there is also flexibility in terms of working hours and the potential for home working.
