Our client, a strong high street practice based in Manchester is committed to providing a high quality and tailored service to its clients across a range of personal legal services. An exciting opportunity has now arisen in their dedicated in-house costs team for a Costs Draftsman.
The costs team currently consists of a barrister, solicitor and an admin assistant and work on costs matters from start to finish predominately in the areas of family and housing. The firm have a strong commitment to legal aid and so experience with this and CCMS is desirable albeit not essential as training can be given. The firm also undertake private paying work.
The role will involve drafting bills and cost schedules as well as negotiating on costs disputes. There will also be an element of costs related admin. The ideal candidate will be a junior costs draftsman who wants to progress their career in the this field. As well as dealing with their own internal costs matters the firm aim to offer costs services externally as well.
In return the firm are offering training and support, a competitive salary and are also open to flexible working/part time hours and can look to reimburse ACL training and membership fees for the right candidate.
