Temporary Property & Procurement Legal Executive

My client is an in-house legal team who serve a public sector organisation in South Glamorgan, South Wales. They are seeking to recruit a qualified Legal Executive who will undertake advisory legal work on property, procurement and highways matters.

This is an on-going assignment and is guaranteed for at least three months. This legal services team is progressive and inclusive. They are fully supportive of promoting a work life balance and offer a range of flexible working opportunities at all levels. Arrangements including flexible workings hours, term time working, part time, compressed hours, home working and job share arrangements will all be considered.

My client is easily reached by public transport. The offices are surrounded by a range of tourist attractions and urban green spaces and with multiple developments already planned, this City can offer a vibrant lifestyle for its residents.

The team is seeking an individual who can manage a demanding caseload and work with minimum supervision. You will need strong negotiating and drafting skills and well as enthusiasm advising on other non-contentious legal matters including property and commercial matters.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. LPC/BPTC graduates will be considered but to be considered they will need to demonstrate substantial experience of advising on land, contract or highways law.

Duties will include:

• Advising on highway and road traffic law matters
• Preparing notices, traffic regulation orders and agreements etc
• Drafting S38 and 278 Highways Agreements
• Preparing license and notices
• Drafting commercial contracts and statutory orders
• Taking on other non-contentious matters from time to time

Hourly rate is negotiable dependent upon experience but candidates can expect an offer of £18 - £21 per hour.
