We are recruiting for an experienced Revenue Control Team Leader for our established legal client in London.

This role will be partly managerial but largely revenue control, with the responsibility of managing a team of revenue controllers. The role will also require allocating/dealing with the day to day working capital for partners within practice groups and providing a revenue service including time/WIP management, billing and detailed transactional reporting “from cradle to grave” in working capital terms.

It is expected this role will be 30% managerial and 70% working capital. The team leader will report to the Working Capital Manager.               

Position Objectives Expectations :-         

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage appointed team and workloads to ensure best practice, efficiencies and effectiveness achieved per client satisfaction.
  • Actively work with all stakeholders to ensure PG/Team meets monthly, billing and quarterly cash and lock up targets and other key Finance metrics, communicating progress and results to PGMs/Team Leaders.
  • Manage staff in accordance with Integreon’s policies and procedures, including formal bi-annual reviews, leave and absence management processes.
  • Team to be regularly informed of current issues and developments giving clear guidance, coaching and support as required.
  • Ensure work is allocated across the team in a manner that is consistent with the capacity and capability of each team member.
  • Ensure each team member has a personal development plan to enhance their knowledge and prepare them for career progression opportunities.
  • Work with Working Capital Manager to ensure best practice followed and feedback on any relevant issues.
  • Ensuring monthly working capital reviews are conducted with designated Partners and Associates and details entered in ARCS 2G.
  • Focus on complex working capital issues and tasks.
  • Work closely with Practice Group Finance Managers as appropriate.
  • Supporting the business in relation to on-line Paperless pre-bill processing including training and floor-walking.
  • Ensure post-month end analysis of deferred proformas including follow-ups with partners and updates are recorded in ARCS 2G and reported to Working Capital Manager.
  • Ensure all billing queries are addressed promptly and resolved efficiently.
  • Play an active role in all Credit Control activities and direct the Revenue Team as appropriate.
  • Manage and maintain the relationship between Working Capital and other Finance teams including Finance Management, Cashiers, Risk, E-Billing, Finance Systems Team, Finance Reporting Team, Accounts Payable, Client Matter Opening, Billing, Credit Control and Recoveries.
  • Ensure the team regular report and chase on working at risk matters.
  • Deal with partner/client reports as necessary through the use of Elite/BI/Qlikview.
  • Maintaining professional regulatory standards and knowledge, e.g. UK VAT Requirements & Solicitors Accounts Rules.
  • Managing the FRS5 process as required for allocated PG/Team and responding to Auditor queries where necessary.
  • Manage volume discounts and rebates.
  • The management and monitoring of secondments to ensure partners and assistants are routinely advised of the process.
  • Undertaking of any other duties as required by Practice Group Managers, Team Leaders, Senior Finance Managers and Working Capital Manager.

Educational Requirements :-      

  • Previous Experience Requirements :-     
  • Previous experience of working in a similar senior role.
  • Knowledge of Elite systems preferred.
  • Experience of working with and advising senior management.
  • Legal experience desirable.
  • Professional Services experience essential
