Debt Recovery Paralegal

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Locum Debt Recovery Paralegal to join a Local Authority team based in the West Midlands. The position will be for a minimum period of 3 months; however this is likely to be extended.

The role requires dealing with a variety of debt recovery matters to include:

• Bankruptcy proceedings, issuing statutory demand, the petition for bankruptcy, using process servers, attending meetings with clients and debtors
• Housing possession proceedings, issuing claims at court, drawing up witness statements, attending meetings, potential court attendance, reviewing paperwork
• General debt recovery, issuing proceedings, warrants, judgements, chasing debt, making payment plans, charging order work

The position offers an hourly rate of between £15 - £20 per hour depending on experience.
