LOCUM IN-HOUSE COUNSEL

Our client represents some of the most famous and successful automotive brands in the UK and is currently seeking to recruit an Associate Legal Counsel/Lawyer on a fixed term contract initially lasting three months. Based at their Head Office in Colchester, the successful candidate will be working closely and reporting directly to the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary. The successful candidate will have excellent commercial experience and will undertake a caseload of: Contracts, data protection and compliance issues, customer issues, legal disputes, M&A projects, Insurance and group policies and procedures to name a few.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to develop their career and expand their existing legal experience within this in-house environment.

 

The Candidate

Applications are welcome from Solicitors, Legal Executives, Law Degree Educated or similar qualifications

Good previous experience working as a legal advisor in a legal department or law firm

Strong legal drafting skills are essential for this role

Applicants must have the ability to prepare easy to understand, commercial and well thought through legal advice to the business and the Legal department

Experience of undertaking legal research and using legal resources such as Lexis Nexis or Practical Law
