Your new role
In addition to providing expert and pragmatic advice and support across the business, you will be responsible for the day to day management of a more junior lawyer. You will identify opportunities for growth and deliver relevant legal training programmes, in addition to proactively identifying arising risk areas and work with the business to develop risk mitigation solutions.

What you need to succeed
You will have a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a commercial role and an ability to apply that knowledge in a practical and pragmatic way. Experience of managing matters with a cross border and foreign jurisdiction element would be desirable.

You must have good awareness of the role of the legal function in a large business and have the ability to contribute actively in the taking of key business decisions. An appetite to learn new skills and the versatility and technical ability to deal with issues outside of your experience and learn quickly on the job is desirable; you will also possess the confidence and gravitas to challenge decisions and actions when required.
