Counsel - Commercial Transactions Europe and Africa
Our client is a global leader in the automotive sector, with 75,000 employees in 33 countries worldwide and $17 billion in sales. The company is now searching for a legal counsel to provide support for commercial transactions in the Europe and Africa region.
The role
Based in Germany, the successful applicant will assist the Director-Legal, EMEA providing legal advice on matters pertaining to the company's procurement and sales activities, contribute in strategic initiatives and provide legal advice to support the risk management activities. This will include the review, drafting and negotiation of various contracts, including, but not limited to, OEM supply agreements, distribution agreements, directed supplier issues, indirect and direct procurement contracts, IT and real estate transactions. The role will require active engagement with internal clients, customers, vendors and other third parties, so a hands on commercial approach is essential.
The requirements
You will be a German qualified lawyer with several years' experience in a major law firm, multi-national corporation, or both. Experience as a transactional lawyer with an emphasis on commercial contracts and real estate matters is required and experience in the automotive industry would be a plus.
