Interim Commercial Solicitor

Interim Commercial Solicitor required for 7 month maternity cover role in Manchester - May/June start. Applicants should have solid commercial contracts experience and ideally have worked in-house before.

Our client is a leading provider of services to clients in the private and public sector. Working in partnership with its clients, the business provides a wide range of services to help manage and maintain their operations and assets.

Due to an upcoming maternity leave within the legal team, our client seeks to recruit an Interim Commercial Solicitor for circa 7 months, starting May/June.

The Interim Commercial Solicitor will work alongside the Head of Legal and wider legal department to provide the business and its clients with a range of legal and commercial advice. This can include general commercial contracts, IT/IP/Software law, bids/tenders advice, outsourcing, public procurement, TUPE, dispute resolution and data protection matters. It will be very varied and you will have the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders at all levels.

Individuals applying for the position of Interim Commercial Solicitor should have circa 5+ years' PQE dealing with commercial contracts. Experience of bid & tenders, projects, public procurement, outsourcing, construction & engineering contracts and TUPE law is highly desirable. In-house experience is not a prerequisite however it is an advantage. An ability to work closely with non-lawyers is essential.

The role is based in Manchester however travel to customer sites and other offices may be required from time to time.
