A leading international financial services business based in the City of London is recruiting a paralegal to join their in-house team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract (although this position does have the possibility of being made permanent depending on the success of the contract).
Operating in over 30 countries and having provided over $30 billion in bespoke finance to allow their clients to grow quickly and efficiently, the business is expanding the team and keen to provide the successful paralegal with a high level of responsibility from the outset.

The Role

Working alongside the General Counsel, Senior Trade Finance Lawyer and Senior Property Lawyer, this position would be ideal for a legal mind experienced in the Finance sector seeking to take on a varied high-value work in a commercial setting. Key responsibilities include:

- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and managing commercial contracts;
- Assisting lawyers with a wide range of work on matters relating to trade and asset finance, art finance, corporate finance, real estate finance and company secretarial;
- Coordinating and assisting with litigation;
- Updating internal standard forms;
- Management of corporate legal issues for branches and companies together with corporate filings (as may be required);
- Assisting in legal training projects, legal research and document review; and
- Coordination and supervision of external lawyers (as assigned by lawyer).

The Person

The successful paralegal would possess, excellent written and spoken communicational skills, strong organisational skills and be able to manage own workload and meet deadlines. Ideally you will have completed your LPC and be looking for extra experience before commencing your Training Contract, or be a strong paralegal with good academics and relevant experience. Some experience (either in-house or in a law firm) in corporate finance, trade and asset finance, real estate finance or company secretarial would be highly beneficial.
