Your new company
Due to an internal service redesign, we are now looking to recruit a locum Planning and Transport Solicitor to work in the heart of the city centre on a temporary basis on an on-going basis. Your new role
As a Planning and Transport Solicitor, you will be required to complete the drafting and negotiating section 106 planning agreements and offer advice in relation to a wide range of planning issues including enforcement, lawful development certificates, conservation areas and heritage assets, tree preservation and policy issues. Advice and representation in relation to planning appeals including drafting and negotiating section 38 and 278 highways agreements and other licenses/consents, advising and providing drafting input into Traffic Regulation Orders, advising in relation to highways issues and on and off-street parking and its enforcement. You will also be responsible for stopping up and/or diversion of highways and footpaths as well as advising on rights of way issues and advising/providing drafting input into Definitive Map Modification Orders. Other public law/environmental issues as may arise from time to time.
What you'll need to succeed
As an experienced Locum Solicitor, you will have a background of working within a Planning department and a good working knowledge of planning agreements and enforcement. A Local Authority background would be highly beneficial for this position. You must be a qualified Solicitor to be considered for this role.
