KEY FACTS
- Job Title: Associate Solicitor
- Location: Manchester
- Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

- Expertise: Candidates should possess around 2 PQE or more with proven experience of carrying a defendant multi-track non-fraud RTA caseload. Candidates should ideally come from a defendant insurance background, though claimant experience will be considered, but only if exceptional.
LARGE LOSS / CATASTROPHIC INJURY TEAM
The catastrophic injury team of this leading defendant firm has developed a reputation for handling highly complex brain and spinal injury cases. The team is relatively small and quite ‘collegiate’ enabling lawyers to experience a real breadth and depth of work. The client base is equally varied, ranging from insurance companies to large self-insured businesses, meaning that some of the claims have the potential to be very high profile.
The Head of Department is looking to hire an Associate or qualified Legal Executive who will assist on highly technical, high value matters, as well as developing their own caseload of catastrophic injury work. Ideally, prior experience of work at this level is required. However, the team is willing to consider those with lower value multi-track experience who are looking to make a step up.
CAREER PROGRESSION IN A GROWING DEPARTMENT
The Manchester office has seen real growth in recent times and the catastrophic team is certainly asserting itself in the North West and wider national market. However, there is still work to be done.
This role is particularly designed to attract solicitors who may be looking for a new challenge and tangible career progression in a growing team with access to quality work with a real focus on delivering a high degree of service to the client.
