A broad compliance and risk role in a manufacturing company with a well known brand, role includes some work in the company's consumer credit arm so exposure to CONC is useful. This role also involves data protection/ GDPR.

Description
This Compliance & Risk Department Manager is based in Berkshire and involves:
The successful candidate will provide key compliance support in the area of reporting, company procedures, corporate governance and consumer regulation. Working closely with outside agencies the jobholder will be the relationship manager with regulators and external legal partners.
The individual will be prepared to participate in reporting, development of policies, procedures and training which will ensure that the business is efficient and compliant with regulations, whilst still able to provide a high level of customer service.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage and motivate the Compliance & Risk Manager
Business Continuity Planning and Testing
Manage the annual SOX and Honda Corporate Governance (HCG) audit processes, through to sign off, and completion.
Business Monitoring and oversight of adherence to regulatory/legal obligations such as Anti Money Laundering (AML), Data Protection Act (DPA)
Chair the monthly Risk Committee and maintain the company Risk Register
Coordinate, Compile and submit the 6 monthly Retail Mediation Activities Return (RMAR) report to the FCA accurately and within the stipulated timeframes
Attend FLA Fraud, Regulatory Reform and Compliance forums and CiFas Business Sector Working Party (BSWP) Meetings.
Ensure reporting to outside agencies is completed
Provide all departments with intelligent legal and regulatory support and guidance.
Ensure the Senior Management Group are kept appraised of developments in the regulatory landscape
Assisting in customer complaint handling.
Oversee the development and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures.
Provide the dealer network with compliance support as required.
Maintain the register of authorised dealers
Conduct annual training to staff in the areas of Fraud AML and DPA.
Liaise with legal and Legal Firms on regulated matters.
Manage the approval process for financial promotions and be primary approver.
Prepare Defence to Claim and represent the company in Small Claims monetary cases.
Other projects as directed by the Operations Director
