Our client, a small law firm in the City (c.80 employees), is looking for an HR Assistant to join their team.
Reporting to, and working closely with, the Practice Director, the role is varied and involves the full range of HR duties including maintaining absence records, updating the system with holiday and sickness leave, liaising with recruitment agencies, screening CVs, issuing reference requests, issuing contracts of employment, assisting with salary reviews and salary benchmarking to ensure the firm remain competitive in the marketplace, assisting with preparations for GDPR, responding to HR queries and acting as the first point of contact for all HR requests, HR administration and generally assisting with all HR matters as required.
You will require a University degree (min. 2:1) in an HR-related subject and c. 6 months' HR experience in a corporate, professional environment, either gained as part of your university work placement or since graduating. You will also need to have excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy with good grammatical and communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity to learn all the basics of HR and get your HR career off to a flying start. Nice offices and friendly team environment. Salary is £26-28k.
