SENIOR RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY CONVEYANCER - MANCHESTER

Residential Property Conveyancer - Solicitor / Licensed Conveyancer / Fee Earner - Due to the continued growth and expansion of the Residential Conveyancing department of this highly respected full-service law firm, a new opportunity has arisen for an experienced residential conveyancing fee earner or Licensed Conveyancer to further strengthen this busy team. The department is looking for a senior conveyancer, preferably someone who is looking to make the step up to a role involving management responsibilities or who are already a team leader or manager in their current role.

KEY INFORMATION

  • Job title: Senior Conveyancer / Manager
  • Location: Manchester
  • Salary: £30,000 - £45,000
  • Reports to: Head of Conveyancing
  • Previous Experience: Proven Residential Conveyancing experience – must be comfortable handling a full residential property caseload of 100+ files including freehold, leasehold, new-build, unregistered, shared ownership, right to buy and help to buy.  Team leading or managerial experience would be useful, but is not absolutely necessary.

THE CONVEYANCING TEAM

The Residential Conveyancing team of this long-established national firm has built a highly structured, well organised team designed to become one of the leading residential property offering in the UK.

Fee earners are supported by an efficient network of conveyancing assistants who help handle the administrative burden of the role, enabling the Conveyancers to focus on transactional work. The department also runs a small group of assistants who further ease the otherwise time-consuming task of post completion duties.

The Residential team has been structured carefully and efficiently so fee earners can focus their time in the best possible way, whilst delivering an excellent service to clients.

EXPERIENCED RESIDENTIAL CONVEYANCER

The successful applicant will be expected to manage a busy caseload, with a responsibility for supervising more junior members of the team. You will also work closely with the Head of Department especially in relation to more complex matters and assist them with collating management information.

The firm has impeccable service levels, which must also be maintained. One of the key aspects of the role is to ensure that the client experience as well as referrer relationships are always upheld. Conveyancers must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with the firm's established network or referrers as well as clients.

EXPERIENCE

Ideally candidates should have at least two year's conveyancing experience or more as well as ambition and self-motivation. They should be able to demonstrate strong leadership and management skills or be able to show they are ready to make the step up to a team leading role.

The team is committed to recruiting the very best staff and creating a positive and supportive team environment, where true talent is nurtured and encouraged to flourish. To this end, candidates with the right technical ability and approach benefit from a clear career path where they can develop a long term career with the firm.

WHO SHOULD APPLY

Our client is looking for dedicated Licensed Conveyancers, Legal Executives or Paralegals with proven conveyancing experience who really want to develop their career in residential conveyancing with one of the biggest names in the market and who feel they are ready to make the step up to team leading. In particular, candidates should be able to work effectively under pressure, possess excellent communication skills and maintain high standards of client care.
