A prestigious, internationally renowned law firm is seeking a Senior Marketing and Business Development Manager to join its team. This global firm has won many awards for its deep industry knowledge and its global team culture and has a strong presence in the major financial and commercial markets.
In this Senior Marketing and Business Development Manager role, you will be aligned to litigation, arbitration and employment practice. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Working closely with the Global Head and International Partners to develop M&BD plans, managing the implementation of the M&BD plans;
- Client development responsibilities, including client account management, co-leading the Client Listening Programme, guiding around client opportunities and stimulating use of the firm’s CRM database;
- Leading on marketing and thought leadership campaigns that heighten the firm’s profile, working with the PR team around sponsorships, events programmes, etc.
- Pitching duties such as directing on panel and pitches across the practice, preparing pitch teams for presentations and promoting pitching best practice;
- Advising partners and teams on new opportunities and identifying opportunities with relevant partners and M&BD department resources; and
The successful applicant will have experience in a professional services industry, will solid experience in business planning and management on top of this. Background with the legal sector and good comprehension of the litigation and arbitration markets are desirable but not essential. In addition to this, you need experience in a partnership or equal professional services environment and managing and driving people, and be comfortable with doing so.
As a candidate, you must have excellent interpersonal and both internal and external client-facing skills, with abilities to influence and persuade partners. You will be tremendously motivated and enthusiastic, able to think broadly and demonstrate initiative. It’s important that you are a team player who is also able to act autonomously and be resourceful and resilient. It is expected that you will have strong written and verbal communication skills and withhold strong project management skills.
