A leading international law firm, providing services to many of the world’s top companies, is looking for a Lateral Recruitment & Professional Development Manager to join their city-based London office.
Working across NQ, Associate and Partner Recruitment and Professional Development, you will work collaboratively to further the Firm’s strategic objective of hiring, training, developing and retaining highly accomplished and dedicated professionals.
The key duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the end-to-end lateral recruitment process, including facilitating the circulation of CV’s coordinating interviews and drafting relevant employment documentation.
- Collaboratively assessing recruitment needs of the Firm and liaising with the recruiting team in New York.
- Maintaining relationships with recruitment agencies, including negotiating agreements and terms.
- Managing the on-boarding and off-boarding processes, ensuring all compliance requirements are met.
- Monitoring associate productivity, professional development and evaluation processes and implementing training and business development programs as required.
- Assisting partners, Legal Directors and the Director of Professional & Administrative Resources to facilitate upward reviews and work assignments.
- Developing and implementing knowledge management strategies and tools to ensure efficient and accurate knowledge capture and transfer.
- Overseeing training initiatives, the ‘Mentor Program’ and internal secondments.
- Travelling to associate training and development events, in particular in New York.
You will be educated to a degree level or equivalent, with proven recruitment experience at a law firm, preferably an international or US firm. Demonstrable strong leadership and project management skills are essential as is a flexible, organised, self-motivated approach to prioritising your workload. The role will provide opportunities to work both autonomously and collaboratively, so you must be able to participate in the office culture and develop relationships with lawyers and staff. An in-depth knowledge of the UK legal market is essential, and knowledge of the international legal market is highly regarded.
