Our client is a well-accredited, independent law firm, with a dynamic, forward-thinking approach, in Kent which has been established in the area for over 170 years. The business has continued to grow as a result of client recommendation and is now looking for an experienced legal executive or solicitor to join the family team on a part-time basis at the Gravesend office. The Role
Our client offers a general range of family law advice and representation, including a mediation service, and has specialist experience in children law. The firm is now looking for an experienced solicitor or legal executive with a strong background in family work to join the busy family team on a part-time basis. This is to assist with a caseload of matters relating to adoption, care proceedings and other public law matters, contact and residency disputes and marriage breakdown including obtaining injunctions and advising on financial matters.
The Candidate
The successful applicant will be a solicitor of at least 2+ years’ PQE or experienced legal executive, with a good background in family law including public law children matters;
Possess strong technical skills and be a determined negotiator and robust advocate;
A good understanding of costs issues and experience in Legal Aid work is essential; as is an empathetic manner, and the ability to explain complex matters in clear, accessible language;
You will be organised, with good time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise the competing demands of a busy workload;
Have excellent client care and communication skills and be well presented and professional in appearance and manner.
