Genting UK is part of the Genting Group, a global business with leisure interests across the world. Having arrived in the UK in 2006, the Group now operates over 40 casinos across the country, an online gaming business and a casino in Cairo.
October 2015 saw the opening of Resorts World Birmingham including a casino, the Genting Hotel, bars, restaurants, outlet stores, a luxurious Spa, conference centre and 11-screen cinema. Genting also sponsors the nearby Genting Arena, one of the country’s leading entertainment venues.
They are now looking to recruit an additional Legal Counsel to join the in-house legal team based in Birmingham. Reporting to the General Counsel and Company Secretary and working closely with other members of the team, you will gain exposure to a breadth of legal matters.
Supporting senior stakeholders across the UK business, your caseload may incorporate a mix of the following:
- Negotiation and drafting of a range of commercial contracts and agreements.
- Technology, Outsourcing and IP matters including sponsorship, media campaigns and Data Protection.
- Managing various, complaints, disputes and litigation .
- Providing general employment law advice.
- Sector specific regulatory, compliance and competition issues.
This role will suit a bright and engaging qualified solicitor (NQ-2+ years PQE) with strong academics. You will ideally have trained with a leading law firm and now be looking to make your first step in-house.
You will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a pragmatic, flexible approach to problem solving and have the ability to inspire confidence.
