Corporate Lawyer, interim

My client is a US listed business with a global turnover of £16bn and c£1 in the UK. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced lawyer with corporate and ideally company secretarial experience to join as the Head of Legal for the UK Group legal function for a period of 10 months commencing in mid May.
You will be responsible for Group legal work in the UK and some additional jurisdictions. This work within this small team tends to comprise of corporate and company secretarial matters as well as day to day oversight of compliance and governance.
Examples of the types projects and responsibilities include:
· Sale of shares, inter-company loans, tax projects, liquidations
· Advising and leading on European acquisition with UK elements
· Advising on merger in one of the divisional businesses
· Advising on merger and re-organisation in the Netherlands
· Advising and leading on Brexit strategy
· Overseeing day to day company secretarial compliance and governance (filings, directors changes etc)
· Oversight of compliance working in conjunction with an experienced European Compliance lawyer
· Management of legal assistant and assistant company secretary
We are keen to hear from lawyers with at least 8 years experience who would be comfortable working in a fast paced international environment. This project will ideally commence in mid May for a period of 10 months. Applications will be considered on a full time or 4 day week basis.
