This global law firm is one of the success stories of recent years. Following a number of mergers it is intent on world domination. It offers a sophisticated business development function, real diversity and an international culture.
In this Business Development Manager role, you will be responsible for the continued development of the firm’s infrastructure, mining and commodities sector for the EMEA. This is a 10-month full-time contract (maternity cover) with possible extension. Your responsibilities will include:
- Business planning; working with the leadership team to implement the annual business plan, budget proposals and campaign plans and overseeing EMEA BD activity ensuring objectives are met.
- Client development; supporting relationship partners on specific key clients, participating in client feedback programmes and maintaining awareness of relevant marketing products.
- Profile raising; running campaigns and events and working with the PR Manager on appropriate content for the media and ensuring all communication channels convey consistent messaging.
- Demonstrating best practice; developing best practice to improve efficiency and encouraging adherence to procedures and best practice with firm systems.
The successful candidate will need experience of working in a professional services environment – ideally within a legal, accountancy or built environment firm. Experience of managing international/virtual teams is preferable, as well as experience of working with clients and have the ability to be client facing. A candidate with a transactional background would suit this role, although this is not essential.
As a candidate, you will have strong writing and oral communication skills and the ability to lead others, in addition to obtaining excellent project management skills. You will be confident, persuasive and assertive.
