Locum Litigation Paralegal

Venn Group's specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Litigation Paralegal to join a Local Authority in the East Midlands.

This position is offered on a full-time locum basis with a predicted contract length of at least 3 months with the possibility of extension. Experience of working with a Local Authority would be advantageous, however LPC graduates who are able to demonstrate an enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn as well as candidates with a background in private practice dealing with litigious matters will be considered.

The main duties for the role are as follows:

• To assist a team of Lawyers in the provision of a professional legal service to a range of public sector clients regarding litigation matters, ensuring awareness of and compliance with legal duties within client organisations and protecting their best interests
• To provide support to Lawyers and act as a point of contact on a variety of cases, to include taking instructions and giving advice, carrying out research, preparing applications, drafting documents and correspondence, commissioning and instructing expert witnesses, liaising with witnesses, attending meetings and providing advice and representation in courts or tribunals

The position is offering an attractive of between £10 and £20 per hour depending on experience.
