This is an exciting role for an experienced Senior HR Manager to join the London office of a well renowned New York law firm who are based in the heart of the City. The closest tube station operates 4 main lines including the Central line and is in a great location for the City's retail shopping centre. The Senior HR Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the Human Resources function in the London office and requires someone with a confident and proactive approach. This position will report into the Director of Administration and together you will plan effective secretarial utilisation and staff alignment. In this position you will be aware of the confidentiality at all times whilst maintaining the purpose and core values of the firm.
Key responsibilities for the Senior HR Manager will include but are not limited to:
- To provide proactive line management and support to the Recruitment Manager, HR Assistant and all staff on a day to day basis regarding HR related issues
- Managing the recruitment process for the business and co-ordinating the on board process for new joiners and staff training
- Work alongside the Director of Administration and the Professional Development Committee (PDC) on the lawyer performance review process
- Manage all employee relations matters for the London office including disciplinary, performance management, leaver's process and staff absence
- Assisting with the implementation of policies and procedures
- Coordination of benefits and payroll administration
- Overseeing the London secretarial team
The ideal candidate will have 4 years' experience within a Law Firm at degree level with a recognized HR qualification. You will be a good team player who is able to work effectively with people of all levels and have the ability to select, develop and motivate people to create a positive team environment within the office.
