Legal Biller

My Client is a growing international law firm specializing in litigation and dispute resolution, particularly in the insurance, reinsurance and liability areas. They have offices spanning the globe and over 1000 employees, with headquarters in the City of London and several other offices in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with Fee Earners, ensuring that all time recordings and disbursements are recorded and registered correctly.
• Identifying and addressing incomplete time entries.
• Produce and distribute WIP reports
• Reviewing charge rates and ensuring compliance with SLAs
• Reviewing and updating matter budgets and addressing billing queries
• Identifying and addressing unpaid draft bills
• Attend Fee Earner meetings, providing training and troubleshooting for billing related issues
• Drafting, amending and coordinating the lodgement of e-bills

Candidate Profile

• Good level of IT skills, including Word and Excel. Ideally a working knowledge of Elite 3E or similar financial systems
• Working knowledge of legal billing cycles and WIP
• Knowledge of SRA accounts rules and VAT
• Good attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to prioritise workloads
• Strong ability to develop knowledge through practical experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident telephone manner and strong writing skills
