Legal Credit Controller (3m FTC)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Credit Controller with Legal Experience and Aderant PMS experience, to join the finance team of a leading law firm. This is a 3-month contract with the potential to go permanent.

My Client is a prestigious law firm with offices in theUKand the far East. They specialise in insurance and corporates with clients ranging from large multi-nationals toUKcorporate firms and other professional practices, and include many household names.

Applicants should have previous, relevant industry experience, i.e. have worked in the accounts department of a law firm.  Candidates that have not worked in the accounts department of a law firm will not be considered for interview.

Responsibilities

• Establish and develop client contacts necessary to secure recovery
• Perform regular reviews and follow up on outstanding payments
• Coordinate with Fee Earners and Partners, developing strategies to resolve credit issues
• Support lawyers with reconciliations.
• Work as part of a team to meet collections targets.
• Use ARCS credit control software.
• Coordinate with service providers and claims handlers.
• Host Partner meetings alongside Revenue Controllers, ensuring that that cohesive approach is taken to working capital cycle.
• Ad-hoc tasks as and when required.

Candidate Profile

• At least 2 years Credit Control experience in the legal sector
• Knowledge of Aderant and ARCS systems
• Microsoft Office competent
• Knowledge of SARs and VAT rules
• Excellent communicator and team player
• Confident in their own abilities with a ‘can do’ attitude.
