Revenue Controller - 3m FTC

We are looking for an enthusiastic Revenue Controller with Legal Experience and Aderant PMS experience, to join the finance team of a leading law firm. This is a 3-month contract with the potential to go permanent.

My Client is a prestigious law firm with offices in the UKand the far East. They specialise in insurance and corporates with clients ranging from large multi-nationals toUKcorporate firms and other professional practices, and include many household names.

Applicants should have previous, relevant industry experience, i.e. have worked in the accounts department of a law firm.  Candidates that have not worked in the accounts department of a law firm will not be considered for interview.

Responsibilities

• Review WIP and Debt balances. Producing progress reports on key matters and significant debts.
• Meet billing requirements whilst ensuring complete accuracy is maintained.
• Regularly update the FD and escalate potential issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure that the Financial Controller is aware of doubtful WIP and Debt balances.
• Ensuring that VAT and SRA requirements are met.
• Maintaining details of all client and matter agreed rates and ensuring they are correctly applied.
• Educating Fee Earners in relation to best practice regarding all aspects of matter management.
• Assisting in the monitoring and reporting of fee earner time recording.
• Involvement in projects as and when required.

Candidate Profile

• At least 2 years Revenue Control experience in the legal sector
• Knowledge of Aderant and ARCS systems
• Microsoft Office competent
• Knowledge of SARs and VAT rules
• Excellent communicator and team player
• Confident in their own abilities with a ‘can do’ attitude.
