Securities Finance Lawyer job supporting fixed income for the London office of a Tier 1 Investment Bank
Your new company
My client is a leading global financial services firm and Tier 1 investment bank. The bank is currently expanding across a number of its London based legal teams with a variety of live permanent positions.
Your new role
The position will be focusing on supporting the fixed income securities finance business, providing advice and guidance on legal and document related issues. This would include drafting and negotiation of repurchase and securities lending agreements (GMRA & GMSLA) as well as confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements amongst other duties.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant must be a qualified lawyer and will have demonstrable experience of working within an investment bank or within a comparable Private Practice team. You will be confident communicating with senior stakeholders and liaising with representatives of other business functions. Previous experience of GMRA and/or GMSLA negotiation would be highly beneficial although ISDA master agreement negotiation could considered as a substitute. An understanding of relevant regulatory changes would also be advantageous.
