Banking Solicitor 1-4 PQE – An exciting role has arisen for a banking solicitor of around 1-4 PQE to join this leading firm. Our client is driving its banking practice forward in tandem with its corporate and real estate offering though this particular banking role will be more corporate in orientation.

SUMMARY

• Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
• Reports to: Banking Partner
• Previous Experience: ideally the team is looking for a solicitor with a proven background in corporate banking with around 1-4 PQE, though the firm is prepared to look more broadly depending on the candidate.

AN INTRODUCTION TO THE FIRM

The Manchester office of our client is currently strengthening their banking offering with the hiring of a corporate banking solicitor of around 1-4 PQE. The banking team has an excellent reputation representing all the major banks in the city, often in relation to high profile deals. However, their most recent recruitment initiative is driven by the desire to become the key player in the banking sector, complementing its top tier corporate offering and its increasingly dominant real estate practice.

Notably, the firm has structured its services across key sectors including areas such as Financial Services, Leisure and Energy. This enables it to adopt a more flexible approach to the way they provide legal services. It also means that lawyers are exposed to a far broader spectrum of work. 

BANKING SOLICITOR – THE ROLE IN MORE DETAIL

Ideally, our client is looking to attract a solicitor or associate with proven corporate banking experience. As a rough indicator, they are looking for someone with around 1-4 PQE with experience of advising banks and other large institutional lenders in relation to transactions involving:

• Debt finance;
• Leveraged and acquisition finance;
• Commercial property finance and development funding;
• General secured lending
